400 RYT in Ashtanga and Vinyasa
I came to yoga because I was in need of some space, in my body and in my life. Living in London can be hectic, so finding a beautiful community of people at the Yogahaven studios changed my life. A community whose basis was positivity and health… if anything it kept me out of the pub!
Inspired by these wonderful teaches I took my first Teacher training with the l Allie Hill at Yogahaven in 2016. I completed my 200hr Vinyasa, a graceful practice guided by the breath, and dove straight into teaching at their many London studios. In 2018 I continued my teaching journey and travelled to Rishikesh to study Ashtanga with Kamal Singh. I plan on completing further training in Mandala with The Yoga People in the near future... watch this space.
I am originally from a performance background, having studied at Drama Centre in London and worked as an actor and theatre maker for many years. I am also practiced in a style of training called Lucid Body founded by Fay Simpson. It is a holistic approach to acting that connects mind and body through the chakras system. These are energy centres that relate to elements, colours and intentions and you may hear talk about them in class. Presently I am training to become a teacher of this practice of which I have so much respect for.
